I have over 8 years of hands-on database administration experience, using the MySQL® database server from versions 3.23 to 5.0. This has involved data migrations from other RDBMSs and upgrades between MySQL database server versions.

I have set up several MySQL master-slave replicated clusters, for both performance and backup reasons. This has involved not only the initial setup of the cluster, but also the monitoring and repair of broken slave servers.
